As one of those girlies who tend to have gut-health issues, I've been on the hunt for anything that'll help. I've tried so many different probiotics, many of which just haven't done much of anything. So, six months ago, I decided to cancel my subscription of my last supplement, and ever since then I've been looking for new probiotics to try. Meanwhile, I've been guzzling kombucha. I had to do something to tide me over until I found a supplement to keep my gut health in check.

I'm not always regular, and if I change my diet up in the slightest or drink a little less water than usual (and I drink a LOT of it), I'm susceptible to constipation. And let's not even start with the bloating and gas of it all.

Since December, I've been seeing ads for Seed's DS-01 Daily Synbioitic ($50), a probiotic and prebiotic supplement, all over my instagram feed. Then, I started seeing influencers and celebrities raving about it. A couple of creators I follow were talking about how much relief they'd gotten. Of course, I couldn't tell if they were being genuine and it really worked, or if they were fulfilling an obligation to post a positive review as a paid partnership.

As I mentioned, I didn't feel like my last probiotic supplement did much of anything. I was about to purchase Seed — because, let's face it, I'd been influenced at that point — when I had an opportunity to try the supplements. I don't believe in coincidences, so I took that as a major sign and decided to give them a try — and I'm so glad I did.

About Seed's DS-01 Daily Synbiotic

Seed's DS-01 formula a daily synbiotic, which is a combination of probiotic strains and a prebiotic. It's made with 24 strains of probiotics they claim aren't found in yogurt, most supplements, or fermented foods and drinks.

The 24 probiotic strains have been clinically and scientifically studied, and the company says the formula can improve digestive health, gut health, heart health, skin health, micronutrient synthesis, gut barrier integrity, and gut immune functions.

What I Like About Seed's DS-01 Daily Synbiotic

I'll start off by saying that I was skeptical of Seed's synbiotic. My expectations were extremely low because my last probiotic didn't live up to the hype. But I was dead wrong.

Remember I said I was skeptical? Well, after using it for three weeks, I'm here to tell you that not only does it work but your girl is more than back to being very regular again. My gut issues — including everyone's arch nemesis, bloating — have significantly decreased. I noticed I became regular within the first 10 days, which I didn't expect at all. I'm still a little gassy, which I don't expect to fully go away because it's basically a sign that my body is working the way that it should. I'm also someone who loves spicy foods; I made a point to eat more spicy foods than usual and noticed I had no issues.

I appreciated how much the company prepared the consumer with what to expect and how your body may or may not react, because everyone's gut is different. Seed provided a booklet full of directions, including warnings that you may experience some gastrointestinal discomfort and mild nausea. I experienced both but I knew it was because my body was reacting and adjusting to the probiotics. The nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort subsided within an hour of taking it during the first three days. And both of those symptoms subsided after two or three days of taking it every day.

Apart from the actual product working like it said it would, we need to talk about Seed's sustainable packaging. It comes with a refillable glass jar, a glass travel vial, and a biodegradable booklet — it's safe to say I fell in love at first sight. I mean, who isn't a sucker for aesthetic packaging and sustainability?

What To Consider Before Trying Before Trying Seed's DS-01 Daily Synbiotic

My only flag here is that, as with any supplement, consult with your doctor before taking it. Other than that, I think every girlie with gut issues should give it a try.

Is Seed's DS-01 Daily Synbiotic Worth the Splurge?

Yes. This formula is a tad pricier than the one I was using — but that one didn't work for me. You should keep in mind, though, that Seed is subscription-based. You can choose from a monthly delivery of one bottle, a delivery every three months at 10 percent off, or a delivery every six months with 15 percent off. There's also a 30-day risk-free guarantee.

This is the part of the review where I annoyingly tell you to run, don't walk, to try Seed's DS-01 Daily Synbiotic. But seriously, if you've been considering trying out a new probiotic, give this one a try. It lives up to the hype and it really is THAT good.

Where Is Seed's DS-01 Daily Synbiotic Available?

The Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic is available on the brand's website and on Amazon.
