The Future of Christina and Tarek El Moussa's Book Does Not Look Good

Christina and Tarek El Moussa's new book, Flip Your Life, was scheduled to come out this month, but the project has just been put on hold indefinitely. Brianna Yamashita, an associate publisher with TarcherPerigee, told USA Today, "We are evaluating the project and are currently in a holding pattern with it." When the couple announced their separation back in December, they were explicit about keeping their working relationship intact, and they've done a commendable job continuing to film their hit HGTV show, Flip or Flop, together. Given, however, that the book is not related to their real estate business but is actually an inspirational self-help book, it feels a bit awkward to proceed. Flip Your Life was focused on how the El Moussas overcame obstacles in their lives and marriage (Tarek battled thyroid cancer and Christina struggled to get pregnant with their second child) and planned to offer advice on how readers could do the same. The book is currently still available for presale on Target.com, but we doubt it will remain there for long.
