I Tried Kim Kardashian's Favorite Skims Collection, and Girl Knows What She's Doing
Kim Kardashian has gone on record to say that her favorite Skims drop is the Fits Everybody collection. Sure, maybe she's biased because it is her line, but I am a believer in her products after falling in love with the Cozy Collection and the Ribbed Collection, so I wanted to give her favorite pieces a try.
The collection first launched back in September 2019 and the brand just restocked the covetable pieces. It comes in the brand's nine signature tonal shades that are supposed to represent various skin tones. As for sizing, you can shop the pieces starting in XXS to 4X. I'm a medium according to the brand's size chart, even though I'm typically a large in other brands. I can vouch that the sizing chart is pretty accurate because the product is super stretchy. The pieces range from $44 to $68 and are designed to help provide you support and enhance your natural shape. The collection of intimates has been designed with supersoft fabrics that are meant to move with your body.
I opted for the Squareneck Bodysuit ($58) in Ochre because I was looking for something simple and sleek that I could throw on with a pair of sweats or with jeans down the line when things hopefully start returning to normal. I've been trying to get into neutral hues lately and this color seemed like a minimalist's dream. I also tried out the triangle bralette and full briefs from the collection, but more on that later.
The Fit
When I first slipped the bodysuit on, I instantly noticed two things: 1) Even though the piece looked very small when I opened the packaging, it was surprisingly stretchy when I put it on. 2) It really did move with my body and fit like a glove. I spent the majority of the day in it and, halfway through, I forgot it was even on. The only con I'd have to say is that it's a *little* sheer around the chest area for my taste if I plan on wearing it out. I love the material and it really does feel like I'm wearing nothing. But, I don't think I'd wear it as a solo piece unless I pair it with something on top like a cardigan or leather jacket. I could even see myself wearing it with a sheer long-sleeved top for a '90s look. As for the bralette and briefs, I also opted for mediums in both and they matched the size chart pretty accurately as well. Like the bodysuit, the pieces were also very comfortable and I didn't feel restricted.
The Verdict
Overall, the bodysuit is a fit, not a miss in my book — I've come across very few bodysuits that feel this good on. As for the bralette and briefs, they were equally as stretchy and were super breathable. Lately, I've been opting for more stretchy materials because I just don't have time for uncomfortable clothing while being home. The bra didn't dig into my rib cage and the briefs had a tummy controlling factor as most of her products do, but they were also so damn comfy.
Keep reading to see how I wore the bodysuit. Then, shop the pieces from the Fits Everybody collection just in time for the restock before it sells out again.
